Went to One Utama today and they've already started playing Raya songs. FIVE FULL DAYS BEFORE Ramadhan even starts! Might as well throw in JINGLE BELLS for good measure...

They can't start playing Jingle Bells. There was this one year where raya was close to xmas and the gov stepped in to insist that you had to take down the xmas decorations until raya was over.
us poor saps in marketing had a hard time. with xmas u got the reindeer, snow, etc etc themes to go with. there's only so much we can do with ketupat.
and any sort of kongsi raya is not good lah. during kongsi raya last time, everything was closed for so long! no banks, no shops, semua takde. it's ok if u raya in the kampung, but if you're in the city - mati kutu!

salam. kali ini persiapan raya di shopping complex tak meriah sgt jika dibandingkan dgn perayaan lain. dah mula puasa pun, deko raya tak banyak lagi.
