Neither weird nor wrong. It is a reference to Michael Jackson's song "Ebony and Ivory".Cincau is ebonySoya bean is ivory. If the menu had said "soya bean atau cincau", Michael Jackson's song "Black or white" or his "at first black, then white skin" comes to mind.
Anon, thank u for your tots. Rest assured I know quite well why it's called that; soya cincau happens to be one of my favourite drinks. I find it weird/wrong cos the dude just passed away and there should be a rest to the jokes and blatant profiteering...ALSO, "Ebony and Ivory" was actually performed by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. You must be thinking about the song "The Girl Is Mine". :)
En. Zul;"Ebony and Ivory"... I stand corrected! You are absolutely right.Frankly, I didn't see anything wrong with the menu. I didn't associate it with MJ's death, jokes in bad taste or even profiteering. All I saw was a drink that was named after him.I am the literal one, indeed.
