Cool And FUNNY Stuff I Found At a Japanese Store in the Curve

So, if you haven’t heard yet, there’s this cool discount store at the Curve called Daiso that sells all things Japanese. Everything here is sold at the wonderful price of RM5, and I do mean EVERYTHING. And they’ve got a whole lot of stuff as well; from underwear to stationeries to household items…

...

It can be quite an amusing experience shopping here, mainly ‘cos the labels are all in Japanese and there’s quite a number of things that you’d have to stare hard at the pictures to figure out what they’re for.

Anyway, I picked up a few things for myself and my, um, pets. One of which is this thing called PET SHEET.

But if you think the name is already funny, imagine the laugh I had when I read the “directions” at the back of the pack.

In case it’s not too clear for you to read, let me type it out here:

* Please put feces in order to the rest room.
* Please round small to adjust a dirty part of the inside, and so as not to become insanitary and process the sheet of the remainder.
* Please do not throw away the sheet to the rest room.
* About processing, please obey a local rule to live.

Card Carrying Criminals... You Better Believe It!

I was watching 999 on TV3 last night and as usual it had the obligatory Mat Rempit-getting-busted scene.

Anyway, one 20-something Rempit was caught after he “rempuh-ed” the police blockade. And it was also discovered that the dude was actually a member of the notorious gang called “APACHEE”.

And how did the police know this? ‘Cos – get this – he had an APACHEE membership card with him.

Call me naïve, but as far as I know, criminals and gang members usually don’t want to be found out so easily. Imagine the mafia handing out cards to its members…

I can imagine what’s gonna happen in court already:

Judge: So what evidence do you have to prove the guy’s a gang member?
Prosecutor: Well your honour, he, um, has a card….

Ha ha!

If you don’t believe me, watch it yourself at this link:

But I do wonder what sort of privileges the APACHEE card would entitle the member? Cheap “minyak motor”? Discounts on bohsia? Yeah, probably lah…

Bang, Vodka Special Satu!

So this piece of news came out yesterday in Star Metro. The Finlandia vodka Cup Malaysia 2008 was held recently to find the cream of the bartending crop.

It was a closed (and close) competition apparently and the contestants were required to prepare an aperitif, a long drink and the Quick Mix.

And the winners were:

1.Abdumubin Ismail (RM2,000 cash, trophy, will represent Malaysia at the 11th International Finlandia Vodka Cup in Lapland, Finland)
2.Chong Yi Shawn
3.Rizal Junior

Ain’t saying anything more, but I’m pretty sure some people in this Hadhari land would find the whole thing rather weird, no?

Mummy, Can I Have Some Marijuana?

So a couple of days ago, I spotted this kid (who couldn't have been older than 10 years old) sitting by the roadside wearing this t-shirt...

Incredible huh? Question now is... who's to blame? Some parents DO need to be shot!

The Great Malaysian Car (Identity) Crisis...

More than anywhere else in the world, cars in Malaysia generally suffer from severe identity crisis. Look around; at least 8 out of 10 cars on Malaysian roads don’t really know what they’re supposed to be anymore. Kancils want to be Daihatsus and Wajas want to be Mitsubishis.

Of course you have to blame their owners who must seriously believe that by adding extra ampaian baju disguised as spoilers, and putting up WEST stickers, people would suddenly think they’re driving a McLaren instead of a Wira?

I mean, would I be Brad Pitt by just dying my hair blonde? I would at least have to make a few hundred million at the US box office and sleep with Angelina Jolie a little bit before I could even think about asking people to call me Brad, right? Sheesh…
